Champions for Chicago’s Chatham Community

Catalysts for change.

The Chatham Community Collaborative was formed in response to the alarming statistics characterizing the lack of opportunities and high level of violence plaguing the youth of Chicago’s South Side.

A large segment of Chicago’s minority youth are located in high-risk neighborhoods, like Chatham, and are under-educated, besieged by social and economic disinvestment and are denied cultural opportunities essential for a well-rounded, productive life.

This non-profit seeks to shift the narrative!

Youth Programming

The Chatham Community Collaborative provides transformative exposure into STEM, finance, journalism, and health administration. Career and college readiness, violence prevention, peace circles, and restorative justice are key pillars.

Community Education & Prosperity

We seek to provide invaluable information regarding finances/budgeting, health inequities/access, housing, racial equity and social justice.

Mental Health/Emotional Awareness

We are committed to helping youth and families understand and manage their emotions, build or strengthen supportive relationships, improve responsibility/decision-making, and plan for a hopeful and fulfilling future.
